WHALES! That was our goal for today! We arrived in Juneau, Alaska in the early morning and were picked up to go on the Alaska, Whales, Glaciers and Rainforest Tour!
It was chilly, but a beautiful morning! And the skies were clear!
And, guess what? We saw not only a whale—we saw LOTS of whales! We saw several Humpback whales’ water spouts and tails!! It was soooo cool!!
We also saw a pod of killer Orca whales! Our tour guide told us that typically those are not seen! Yea for us!
It was an incredible morning! Can you tell we were TOTALLY THRILLED?
Then off to see the Mendenhall Glacier! But first, we walked through an amazing moss-filled forest!
We made it to the beach and there it was….Mendenhall Glacier! WOW!
And an extra bonus—a gorgeous waterfall in the distance!
What a great tour! We loved everything about it—even the walk back to the tour bus!
Our bus dropped us off in downtown Juneau and we fell in love! The town was adorable and was surrounded by water, mountains, and cruise ships!
Back onboard we raced to yet another delish dinner, listened to karaoke, (Mary took her fabulous photos) and
we listened to some delightful music!!! Another great day of adventure! Next stop: Skagway, Alaska!!!
