ICY STRAIGHT POINT, MOUNTAINTOP FOREST ESCURSION & SKY PEAK GONDOLA AND HOONAH SIGHTSEEING AND TRIBAL PERFORMANCE!

We arrived at Icy Straight Point early in the morning and promptly got on our first tour, Mountaintop Forest Excursion & Sky Peak Gondola!

After the gondola ride, we boarded a small tram for a ride through the forest!  Our guide was a local and was well versed at life in Hoonah!  The ride was beauuuutiful!!!

We had another excursion later in the day called Hoonah Sightseeing and Tribal Performance.  Our tour guide, Connor, was from South Bend, Indiana and was HYSTERICAL!  (He made us proud!)

After the Tribal Performance, we made a stop at the Crab House for their infamous crab Bloody Mary’s!  OHMYGOODNESS!  Can you say “DELICIOUS”?

The stroll back to the ship was delightful, passing quaint little local homes right on the water!  Pots of flowers, baskets of flowers and raised gardens were everywhere!  As were totem poles!

Back on the boat, we wrapped in blankets and enjoyed balcony time while watching for whales!  BRRRR!!!!

We met up downstairs to find a good whale watching spot after the Captain came on and announced that a whale was seen off the front of the ship!  We all ordered a shot of Fireball and sat with our fingers crossed.

No whales, darn it!  We proceeded to the elegant Centrum to join in the line dancing!  What FUN!

Dinner was extra special when the wait staff surprised us and danced throughout the dining room!  Our waiter, Jaye, along with his assistant, Raye, made all of us so proud!

After dinner we went to the theater where our Cruise Director introduced the evening’s entertainment—a juggler/comedian.  OMG, this guy was not a talented juggler, he was SO DARN FUNNY!!!

Another great day aboard the Radiance of the Seas!  Next stop: Ketchikan!
